Frequently asked questions

Is every class already on the course?

Not yet — the course is still being recorded. The syllabus on this page lists every class planned so far and marks the ones not uploaded as Coming soon. Each joins the course as soon as it is added, and your enrolment covers it for as long as your access lasts; you do not pay again. The plan itself will grow too, so the syllabus is the place to look for what is new.

How long do I keep access, and is anything drip-fed?

Your enrolment runs for the access period shown on this page at checkout, counted from the day the payment succeeds. Nothing is released on a schedule: every class already on the course is open from the first minute, and a class added later opens the day it is uploaded. Take them in the outline's order, in the institute's class order, or go straight to the one topic you came for.

What language are the classes in?

English and Tamil. The faculty moves between the two as the class goes on, which is how it was taught in the room. There are no subtitles on the recordings, so listen to the free Class 1 first if you are unsure whether the mix suits you — it is two hours forty minutes and costs nothing.

Is this suitable for someone attempting Mains for the first time?

It is a crash course taught at mains level, so it assumes you already know what the papers ask and have read the syllabus at least once. A first-timer who has finished a foundation course will follow it; someone starting the syllabus from zero should not buy it as a first course. Class 1 is the honest test — it is free, it is the class the batch opened with, and if it moves at a pace you can hold, the rest will.

How many times can I watch each lecture?

Each video lecture can be watched twice on the standard allowance shown on this page, and one device at a time. The free class, Class 1, is unmetered. If a genuine re-watch is needed — a lost connection, a class you want again before the exam — the institute can grant more views on that lecture from the console; ask.

What is NOT included?

These are recordings of the classes as they were taught. There is no live class, no doubt-clearing session with a teacher, no one-to-one mentoring, no paper correction, no printed or downloadable notes and no test series — the test series are sold separately on this site. There is no AI tutor with this course. The lectures stream in the browser and cannot be downloaded for offline viewing; if bandwidth is the problem, the player's data saver caps the stream at 240p or 360p instead. Class 5 is a guest session — a talk on preparation rather than a class on the syllabus — so it is on the course but not on the syllabus.

Can I get my answers corrected?

Not on this course. For paper correction and feedback, contact the institute directly: call +91 73056 05638 (10:00 to 18:00) or write to support@cortexdesk.in.

How long do I have access?

For 365 days from the day you enrol.

Can I try the course before buying?

Yes. One lesson is free to preview — look for Preview in the curriculum.

How do I pay?

Through Razorpay, at checkout — card, UPI, net banking or a wallet. Your course unlocks as soon as the payment is confirmed, and a receipt is emailed to you.

How many times can I watch a lecture?

You can watch each lecture twice. Pausing, skipping and changing speed cost nothing; watching a part again uses up some of your second viewing. Free preview lessons are not counted. A lecture plays on one device at a time: starting it in another tab or on another device stops it in the first.

Can I study on my phone?

Yes. Courses run in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop.
